KARA, KARTA Partner For Kansas Applicator Institute

Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association (KARA) and Kansas Ag Research and Technology Association (KARTA) have merged their summer programs into the Kansas Applicator Institute (KAI). The Kansas Applicator Institute will be held August 8-9, 2012 in Great Bend, KS, at the Highlands Hotel and Expo fairgrounds. This program will bring producers and industry professionals together for premier learning and networking.

The KAI program will focus on how both producers and retailers can work together in best utilizing precision technology in crop protection application and spraying. KAI is packed with great speakers ranging from UNL professor Dr. Greg Kruger to head agronomists from Helena Chemical, BASF and Wilbur-Ellis. Program topics will cover nozzles, the future of reducing spray drift, herbicide modes of action and more. President of KARTA, Dietrich Kastens encourages producers and retailers to attend by saying, “The KARTA board feels that the Kansas Applicator Institute is a tremendous opportunity with unlimited educational upside potential.”
