Pinnacle Acquires CropLife 100 Ag Retailer

Pinnacle Agriculture Holdings, LLC has successfully acquired the Missouri-based agronomy business of MRM Agricultural Service, LLC and its affiliates (MRM). Operating as part of Pinnacle’s Sanders brand, the new location will be a full-service agricultural input retailer providing farm inputs such as seed, crop protection chemicals and fertilizer products, as well as custom application, precision agriculture, and scouting services.

Currently ranked No. 79 on the CropLife 100, MRM was founded in 1964 by Rex Mainord in East Prairie, MO.  Over the past 51 years, the Mainord family and its team of dedicated employees have built a well-respected, best-in-class farm input retail operation serving over 600 customers in four states. Today MRM is led by Milas R. Mainord and offers a broad selection of seed varieties, as well as crop protection chemicals. MRM’s value-added services include ground application, custom blending of liquid and dry fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, custom application of agricultural lime, variable rate spreading of lime and fertilizer, grid soil sampling, and customized scouting services.

“We are truly excited to be a part of Sanders. Our customers, employees, and suppliers are very important to us, so we naturally wanted to ensure that they continue to experience the same level of service and integrity upon which MRM was built,” said Milas Mainord. “Sanders is a perfect fit, and this partnership will enhance the selection and availability of products and innovative solutions that we bring to our customers for successful crop production. We are proud to align with an organization that is committed to grower success and helping ensure the most return on growers’ investments throughout the year.”

Andrew Duff, Regional Business Director for Sanders said, “We are excited to expand further into the Missouri Bootheel through a great team of people at our new East Prairie location. Sanders’ core focus is making sure our customers are successful. The MRM business was built on similar principles and has a long tradition of providing farmers the highest level of service and the best inputs for their farm.  Sanders will build upon this tradition and make the transition as seamless as possible.”

MRM marks Pinnacle’s 12th acquisition in 2015. Sanders now operates 117 retail locations across nine states offering seed, custom fertilizer blends, and crop protection products, as well as award-winning OptiGro precision agriculture services.
