ASABE Adopts ISO Standard For Agricultural Sprayers

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has completed adoption of ISO 4254-6:2009, Agricultural machinery — Safety — Part 6:  Sprayers and liquid fertilizer distributors.

The adoption, ANSI/ASABE AD4254-6:2009 AUG2013, Agricultural machinery — Safety — Part 6:  Sprayers and liquid fertilizer distributors, clarifies the North American design practices for such equipment.

This adoption further harmonizes national and international standardization, a goal that facilitates manufacturing, safety advancements and product marketing worldwide. This standard is part of a group of nearly 40 international standards that ASABE has adopted and published for national use.
