The much-anticipated 2022 Tech Hub LIVE event is finally here. Similar to last year’s inaugural event, the 2022 program focuses on the most important technology developments for ag retailers and their farmer customers.

What’s striking is how fast technology continues to advance, and how much these advancements are helping farmers operate more efficiently, plan better, and even trim costs. Considering the current turmoil, from record high energy and fertilizer costs to labor and workforce constraints, to shipping and transportation bottlenecks and geopolitical risk, the timing for Tech Hub LIVE and the delivery of technology solutions that can be implemented right now couldn’t be more critical.

Starting with the advent of in-field precision technologies in the late 1990s that were designed to achieve more efficient input utilization and increased yields, to the latest AI-supported drone scouting and autonomous equipment, Meister Media Worldwide has leveraged its leadership role through CropLife® and its PrecisionAg brands to inform, educate, and promote the proliferation of ag tech — and precision technologies, in particular — for the benefit of farmers, and the global agriculture community.

Today’s challenges, however, are unrivaled in their scope and severity. Climate change, a growing world population, environmental concerns, and pest and disease threats are ushering in profound changes with regards to food production. Ag tech, including precision technologies, are fundamental to successfully adapting to this altered landscape.

The Global Ag Tech Initiative (GATI), recently announced by Meister Media Worldwide, reaffirms the company’s commitment to the agriculture community by furthering the understanding and application of precision technologies throughout the U.S. and every global region.

At the same time, to reflect the expansion of precision agriculture over the years into what is more accurately defined today as precision technologies, Meister Media Worldwide is likewise rebranding PrecisionAg Professional to PrecisionTech Ag Professional.

And, while the PrecisionAg family of brands will be retired, CropLife along with Meister Media Worldwide’s specialty agriculture brands continue to expand their portfolios with new precision technology content offerings and events, such as Tech Hub LIVE.

Agriculture is characterized by perpetual change, and the current market environment has only accentuated that dynamic.

Simply put, the GATI Initiative is the right action, at the right time.

Let’s get growing.
