Azomite Mineral Products (AMP) is headquartered in Nephi, UT.
Comprised of more than 70 trace minerals, the company’s all-natural namesake product, Azomite, is mined in Utah from an ancient deposit created an estimated 30 million years ago by a volcanic eruption that filled a small seabed.

The combination of seawater, fed by hundreds of rivers rich in minerals, and the rare and abundant minerals present in volcanic ash created the Azomite mineral composition unique to its deposit.
Already reduced to palm size at the mine, rocks are trucked to the processing facility and re-crushed and sized before being dried to a specified moisture level and stored in silos.
Azomite’s processing facility in the desert valley of Nephi, UT, flanks the southern end of the Wasatch Range, about 90 miles south of Salt Lake City and 25 miles north of the company’s mine site.

At its simplest, Azomite’s process is one of sizing — taking large rocks and crushing them until they are a fine powder.
The end product is shipped often by rail car, with final destinations including North and South American countries, as well as India, China, and nations in Southeast Asia.
