Executive Distribution Leadership Panel Set for May CPDA Adjuvants and Inerts Conference

The Council of Producers and distributors of Agrotechnology (CPDA) has announced that registration is open for its Adjuvants and Inerts Conference May 18-20, 2022 in Nashville.

Senior executives from the largest national crop protection product distributors will participate in-person on May 19 on a panel moderated by Brett Sciotto, CEO of Aimpoint Research, to share their vision of the industry and what companies need to maintain successful businesses.

“Market intelligence has never been as important as it is today. That’s why this panel is designed to provide actionable insights so industry leaders can make better, more informed decisions that reduce risk and optimize resources to maximize success in the crop protection and adjuvants categories,” said Terry Kippley, CPDA president.

The CPDA program theme is: The Crop Protection and Adjuvant Business Today and Tomorrow. Kippley said to help with Today, industry experts will address chemical pricing trends out of China and India, as well as U.S. trade policy. An update on federal regulatory and government policies impacting our industry also will be highlighted.

Kippley added to help us with Tomorrow, the conference will examine what might be important to our future consumer, from farm gate to the dinner plate.

“Our food system is experiencing an unprecedented rate of change and shifting consumer preferences are driving this evolution,” according to Aimpoint Research’s Sciotto. “To succeed, the farmers of the future will defy conventional wisdom and business models and adopt new business strategies, technological innovations, and management philosophies.” In the session called Farmer of the Future Meets the Next Gen Consumer, Sciotto will explore the consumer trends driving change and answer the question: “Who are the farmers of the future?”

Adjuvants play an important role in delivering technology and are an important component of retail profitability. CPDA’s second day program (May 20) will focus on adjuvant retail economics and opportunities on how to optimize adjuvant performance, and how to stretch glyphosate and other molecule supplies using the right adjuvants.

On May 18 just prior to the conference opening, CPDA launches its “Adjuvant University” to provide detailed training for U.S. tank mix adjuvants. “From the Field to the Lab” will be held prior to the general session and will preview the much-needed industry education that will be expanded upon in future seminars. Topics include an introduction to the building blocks of adjuvant technology, the linkage between chemistry into activator adjuvants, and adjuvant field optimization.
