Tiger Sul Facility Improved
May 28, 2008 H.J. Baker & Bro., Inc.’s is upgrading its Tiger-Sul Products sulphur pastille fertilizer facility in Atmore, AL.
Modifications and upgrades to the existing sulphur pastille fertilizer facility are currently underway to implement several enhancements. The most noticeable upgrade has been to relocate the production of TIGER 90 CR sulphur and TIGER MICRONUTRIENTS fertilizers to a climate controlled environment, thereby minimizing potential variants and increasing the manufacturing process and stability.
“The modifications will also allow for future expansion of the facility once production capacity is outgrown,” says Drew Taylor, Tiger-Sul Products Atmore general manager. “Rapid growth of our environmentally friendly line of nutrients has a strong fit in the North American markets and will continue to grow due to the performance benefits of these products.”
This production facility is vitally important to our network of North American sulphur fertilizer facilities and offers international access through the Mobile, AL, port,” says Chris Smith, HJ Baker & Bro. CEO. “Within the last year we have begun construction of a new facility at our existing Stockton, CA, location, upgraded our Calgary, Canada blending system, and have also licensed our technology to Chemical Initiatives in Johannesburg, South Africa for production of the Tiger-Sul line of products for the African continent.”
