ARA Launches ENGAGE for Ag Leaders

As more and more attention is called to agriculture and how food is produced, even rural residents are joining the conversation about production practices and the products ag retailers provide their customers. To help guide its membership through these sometimes difficult conversations in our own communities, the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) is launching an industry-critical communication tool focused on communicating with the consumer.

ENGAGE for Ag Leaders, sponsored by Corteva, will empower participants with the knowledge and skills to connect with consumers about agriculture and the agricultural retail industry.

Engage training goes beyond traditional message training – it gets to the core of what matters to consumers: shared values communication principles. Peer-reviewed and published research shows that communicating with shared values is 3-5 times more important in building trust than providing facts or information alone. Engage training equips participants with new tools to effectively connect with consumers and other food system stakeholders.
