Model 980
The 2018 Model 980 rear-discharge trailer tender boasts a larger payload and steeper-sloped hoppers, according to the company. Standard features include: stainless-steel front and rear fenders, augers, hydraulic-operated feed and dump doors, and side-mounted fuel tank; a 49-hp Kubota engine; SRT II roll tarp; vibrators; Magnolia 80,000-pound GVWR trailer; LED lights; and PPG epoxy primer and urethane paint.
HCP3324STA
Simonsen Industries and Ideal Industries, working in conjunction, introduce a new concept in fertilizer tender design, the companies say. The HCP3324STA is a high-capacity tender designed to haul large loads while utilizing trailers as short as 36 feet in length. This tender features eight compartments, with a total of 1,016 cubic-foot capacity, gear rack driven slide gates, nylon roller bearing surface for easy slide gate operation, high-density polyethylene hopper construction, electric roll tarp, and heavy-duty hydraulics.
ST900
The ST900 Fertilizer and Seed Tender boasts three compartments and a 900-cubic-foot hopper capacity. It consists of a stainless-steel 15-inch belt charge conveyor; 18-inch-by-30-foot discharge conveyor; self-contained hydraulic drive, with 35-hp Kohler industrial engine; and two full-function wireless remote controls that operate hydraulic gates, conveyors, and engine. It is mounted on a B-B 42-foot dual-axle trailer, with spring ride suspension and ABS.
CST 1550
Convey-All’s CST 1550 is powered by a 50-hp diesel engine that runs the enclosed hydraulic system. This tender is designed and built to take the seeding process to new levels of efficiency. Save time with the advanced unloading belt conveyor system that ensures gentle and efficient seed delivery directly into the planter or seed system. The six-compartment stainless-steel tank is designed to transport seed and fertilizer simultaneously without damage or cross contamination. At an unload rate of 2 tons/minute, growers will reduce fill time significantly, allowing them to unload 1,550 cubic feet in under 20 minutes.
24-Ton Tender
The Hays 24-Ton Tender is manufactured in Camilla, GA, and is designed around specific customer needs to make it the most user-friendly tender on the market, the company says. Both the 24-ton two- and three-compartment tenders also feature the well-known “Hays Standards,” including greater hopper slope and lower trailer weight. Safety and performance improvements are also continuously being implemented on all Hays equipment.
FT1600TA
The FT1600TA Top Auger Fertilizer Tender from Loftness has a 16-ton capacity with two storage compartments. It features a versatile swing-away top auger discharge system, obstruction-free stainless-steel hopper, and other unique design features to maximize durability and material flow. The unit offers a maximum auger reach of 16 feet and maximum discharge height of 25 feet.
24FT Trailer Tender
The Doyle 24FT Trailer Tender (side or rear discharge) features a modular, multi-hopper design that allows customers to customize units, from the standard three 258-cubic-foot bins to the optional six 129-cubic-foot bins to any combination in-between, according to the customer’s needs. Bins are constructed of 12-gauge 304 stainless steel and have a 40-degree side slope.
Charger II-FB
The 36-foot Charger II-FB semi-trailer is made of 304 stainless steel with an optional Cummins power pack and polished aluminum wheels. The 2019 Charger II semi-trailers have optional Cummins Tier 4 power units. Ray-Man also has a new truck mount tender capable of loading an aerial applicator.
TT2000
The TT2000 rear-discharge two-compartment dry fertilizer tender features a stainless-steel hopper cradle, steeper slopes (sides=55 degrees, ends=40 degrees, middle=48 degrees), 10% larger capacity (1,065 cubic feet, holding up to 24.5 tons of urea), and a lighter trailer, comprised of stainless-steel rear fenders (optional front fenders), engine cover, and axle/air tank cover.
2000 Series
The high-capacity 2000 Series All Steer Cart can be used for fertilizer or herbicide as you plant, side-dress, strip-till, or cultivate. Available in dual- or single-tank setups, its reinforced steel frame supports a maximum load of 30,000 pounds. All four tires can turn and track, minimizing crop damage and compaction.
45-Foot Tandem Axle Trailer
The 45-Foot Tandem Axle Trailer boasts a 24-foot (950-cubic-foot) overhead discharge dry fertilizer tender (304 stainless). The unit utilizes a 2,000-lumen triple light package to illuminate all features for safe handling no matter the time of day. Units are available with a Kubota power source or optional wet kits.
245C Seed Tender
The Patriot 245 Conveyor-style seed tender puts out 16 bushels per minute. It holds 203 bushels. It runs on a 5.5-hp Honda motor and comes standard with an electric start. The 162-degree rotating conveyor lets you easily adjust what direction your seed is flowing. It comes with a wireless remote control, hydraulic conveyor lift, V-Belt drive, and infinitely variable electronic speed throttle control.
MT900 TA
Made with 304 stainless steel and a 900-cubic-foot capacity, the MT900 TA is unique among tenders, the company says, for two reasons: “It’s designed with 50-degree sloped sides, which not only speeds up unloading but helps to speed up clean-out as well,” Product Manager Greg Haffley says. “The other reason is safety — the MT900 TA doesn’t have a catwalk on the outside. Instead, there are windows built into the unit that allow users to monitor their loads from ground level.”
EZ-Veyor
The EZ-Veyor was specifically engineered for the fertilizer, feed, and seed industries. It features a high-quality, hydraulically driven stainless-steel belt conveyor system integrated into a Timpte Super Tender trailer. The EZ-Veyor can unload 26 tons of fertilizer, feed, or seed in minutes.
QV 50
The QV 50 is a 50-foot stainless-steel fertilizer and seed conveyor tender trailer. The tri-axle trailer has a 32-ton capacity, allowing for 29 tons on roads with load limits. Reaching new heights with the four-direction folding discharge chute enables filling multiple compartments of an air seeder or drill fill. The QV 50 is fast, reliable, and easy to operate.
Durability. Safety. Value. Efficiency. Bigger. Faster. Better. Those are just some of the words that manufacturers of fertilizer and seed tenders are using to describe their latest equipment. But perhaps return on investment is the term that many agree their customers are looking for most, especially in today’s market.
“With a somewhat sluggish ag economy, dealers are more conscious of their margins than ever, and getting the most out of their equipment investment is more important than ever,” said Tim Tenhet, National Sales and Marketing Manager with The KBH Corp., in a recent article on CropLife.com.
In addition to KBH’s TT2000 rear-discharge dry fertilizer tender, the editors of CropLife IRON have compiled information on some of the latest units on the market and featured them in the photo gallery above.
