The Midwest AG Industries Exhibition (MAGIE) Show has “something for everyone”. That’s how Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association President Kevin “K.J.” Johnson described the event prior to its 42nd anniversary.

A - Awards

Three awards were presented during the Tailgate Party at MAGIE, including the Image Award and ShowStopper.

B - Bosch BASF One Smart Spray

The Bosch BASF One Smart System was on full display at the Fendt AGCO exhibit.

C - Case IH Patriot 4450

Patriotism was on full display at the Case IH exhibit with the Patriot 4450.

D - Doyle Equipment Manufacturing

Doyle Equipment Manufacturing showcased its full product line and latest technology at MAGIE 2023, including its AutoBatch Automation System and Declining Weight Blend System.

E - Extreme Heat

A persistent heat dome across much of the central U.S. kept Bloomington toasty beyond belief. With humidity levels in the upper 90% range, the heat index for the days MAGIE 2023 was held easily topped 100 degrees.

From tacos to pork chops on a stick, food has become a staple for MAGIE exhibitors and attendees.

G - Greeneye Technology

AI-based systems like Greeneye Technology were also generating show buzz.

Winner of the 2022 ShowStopper for its LEEB VL self-propelled sprayer, Horsch, LLC once again drew a lot of attention from MAGIE attendees.

The Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA) presented the MAGIE Image Award to Squibb-Taylor.

The John Deere exhibit showcased several pieces of application equipment for MAGIE attendees.

The KBH Corporation featured several products at MAGIE including the TT2000 Dry Fertilizer Tender.

This late 1940s, early 1950s lime spreader was a huge hit at the New Leader exhibit.

Z - Zero Down Time

There was so much to see and do at MAGIE 2023 that there was virtually no down time for attendees and exhibitors.

Boy, was K.J. right. The premier outdoor show for ag retailers delivered on this promise in late August. More than 75 exhibitors attracted about 2,300 attendees to the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington, IL, despite record heat during the two-day event. From MAGIE traditions like the Tailgate Party and Ride and Drive demonstrations, to the MAGIE show awards and latest in AI and drone technology, the 2023 MAGIE show truly had something for everyone.
