2020 Safety School Cancelled Due to Covid-19 Concerns

The National Agronomic Environmental Health and Safety School has officially cancelled its two-day event this month due to coronavirus concerns.

“The 2020 Safety School has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation,” said Reese Martin, President National Agronomic Environmental Health and Safety School. “The Board of Directors has spent the past few months monitoring and evaluating current COVID-19 related issues that are in the Bloomington, IL, area as well as the areas that Safety School serves. We had planned a great meeting this year in hope that the overall situation would improve. However, right now, it is not prudent to move ahead with a large-group event. Attendees, speakers and other participants’ safety and health are our top concern.

“As you may already know, IFCA made the decision to cancel the 2020 MAGIE show at the end of June with all the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 travel restrictions (for both vendors and attendees), social distancing, etc. The safety school has been hosted in conjunction with MAGIE for many years and has served both events well in supporting attendance and providing great networking opportunities while making travel to two different events at one time, in one city very efficient.

If you registered for the 2020 Safety School, your registration will be applied to 2021, or a refund can be made if preferred.

The Board of Directors are already planning for the 2021 Safety School. Please mark your calendars for August 24-25, 2021 for Safety School and August 25-26, 2021 for MAGIE.
