These companies will continue to operate as independently owned and operated businesses, however, their crop protection divisions will now be formally aligned under the umbrella of Aligned Ag Distributors.

The new distribution company plans to seek membership in IAP (Integrated Agribusiness Professionals) which will further enhance the strength of the new organization.

United Suppliers is a well-known agricultural crop input distributor headquartered in Ames, IA, serving 628 retailers in 19 states and 3 Canadian provinces and will continue to serve its owners and customers in a similar manner. “We are excited about the opportunity to be partnering with a group of other distributors in order to create greater efficiencies and more value for our collective owners,” says CEO Brad Oelmann.

“We are equally excited to be joining with United Suppliers to form Aligned Ag Distributors,” said Steve Watts, Chairman (elect) of Franklin Holding Co., and slated to become the CEO of Aligned Ag Distributors. “In so doing we are combining a nucleus of six highly regarded, independently owned retail distributors with a very capable Midwest based distributor. We believe there will always be a need for well-run, independently owned and managed businesses in the marketplace. Our objective is to harness the power of our common needs while creating operating efficiencies so that our owners can continue to provide the level of service that product manufacturers and farm customers have come to expect of them.”
