BASF Hosts Ingage Advisory Council Meetings with Growers and Retailers

BASF held a pair of Ingage Advisory Council meetings in January to bring together growers and retailers from across the United States to explore challenges and opportunities facing the cotton and soy industries. Attendees provided guidance and feedback on industry topics, market challenges, products, services and other issues significant both to BASF and the industries as a whole. The feedback provided will help BASF identify opportunities to better align with industry needs and help growers doing The Biggest Job on Earth.
The Ingage Cottonseed Advisory Council meeting took place from January 15-18 and was attended by 22 growers from across the U.S. Growers in attendance were asked to provide feedback, perspectives and advice on product offerings, service levels and industry challenges.
Andrew Adams, who farms 1,000 acres of cotton in Lubbock, Texas, attended the Ingage Cottonseed Advisory Council and felt the meetings allowed him a space to have his voice heard.
“It was great to have farmers from across the country in one place, since we all have unique challenges,” Adams said. “It was an excellent opportunity for all of us to voice our comments and learn from each other, and it was encouraging that a company like BASF created a space to listen.”
The Ingage Soybean Summit took place from January 22-25 and welcomed a group of 22 retailers from across the soy industry. The spelling of “Ingage” was inspired by the purpose of the meeting: to gather insights about the industry, unveil new BASF innovations and allow retailers a space to engage with other professionals and BASF leadership.
Rich Carr, a retailer from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, attended the Ingage Soybean Summit and was impressed with the product innovations discussed during the meeting.
“The innovation side of where BASF is going in the seed industry is really going to set us up for success in the future,” Carr said. “It’s going to set a new standard for our growers to have products like these on the market. It feels like BASF has been listening to us, and that they want to listen.”
Dialogue with growers and retailers drives innovation at BASF, and meetings like the Ingage Advisory Council help BASF continue to spearhead solutions that bring real value to growers and retailers everywhere.
