The New Leader MultiBin transforms the L4000G4 single hopper spreader into three hoppers. The front two hoppers dispense fertilizer products while the single hopper at the rear dispenses micro-nutrients or seeding products. The micro-nutrient hopper can also be split to create a fourth hopper. The large capacities of each hopper allow users to cover more acres, while increasing productivity and maintaining an accurate spread pattern. Constructed of 304 stainless steel to prevent corrosion, the MultiBin is specifically designed for new L4000G4 spreaders, but will retrofit into a previously purchased L4000G4.

Miller Atlas spreaderAtlas, Miller-St. Nazianz

The “rock solid” Miller Atlas 3654 can handle the most rigorous field conditions, says the company. It is rated for up to 2,000-gallon liquid systems — or it can be equipped with either a 13- or 14-foot dry spinner box, depending on the Atlas wheelbase option. The Atlas chassis can be easily converted from a floater to row crop unit. Removable fenders give drivers an exceptional row crop site line to the front tires from the Atlas cab. Row crop tires are centered at 90 inches tread width. A 365 Cummins QSL 8.9L diesel engine supplies power with great fuel economy.

PT&E Pacesetter SpreaderL4000/Pacesetter XL, Precision Tank & Equipment

Precision Tank & Equipment now carries the New Leader G4 series dry spreaders on its Pacesetter XL unit. (The spreaders can be mounted on a Kenworth or International chassis.) The L4000 series spreader rates range from 75 pounds of fertilizer per acre to over six tons of lime per acre, and spread widths can reach up to 90 feet. Hydraulics — PTO-driven from the transmission — supply power to both the conveyor and the dual 24-inch independently driven spinners. The 14-foot models hold 300 cubic feet of material struck, and more heaped. The MultApplier attachment can be added to some models.

RBR Vector SpreaderVector 300, RBR Enterprise

Vector 300 is a mechanically driven, high clearance spreader with true 4 X 4 capabilities. The Vector can effectively handle 10 tons of product while delivering superior performance thanks to an 8.3 liter Cummins engine producing 305 horsepower and 1000 foot pounds of torque. The Vector 300 has a crop clearance of 28 inches, and when paired with row-crop tires, it’s efficient in both pre-plant and over-the-top application. All Vectors are equipped with the latest variable rate technology from both New Leader and Raven. In addition to the dry product bed, the Vector is available as a combo unit with a 1000-gallon liquid system and 90-foot booms. The Vector can also be equipped with a granular air applicator bed that delivers precise distribution of fertilizer.

John Deere 4940 with Dry BoxJohn Deere 4940/New Leader, John Deere

The new John Deere 4940 Sprayer can be used with New Leader dry spinner spreader attachments. With up to 105-foot spread widths, the spreaders are capable of spreading 25% to 50% wider than most others on the market, says the company, covering more acres per day and increasing productivity. John Deere’s pressure- and flow-compensated hydraulics allow operators to maintain spinner speed throughout each pass, as well as maintain spread widths even when rpms are reduced. For multi-season use, the operator can convert from liquid to dry application in just a few hours.

New Leader L4000G4 SpreaderNew Leader L4000G4, New Leader/Highway Equipment

The New Leader L4000G4 can be customized to meet operators’ spreading needs. Applicators can choose from a 13- or 14-foot length unit, depending on chassis and capacity needs. Choices also include a painted 409 stainless steel or non-painted 304 stainless steel for additional corrosion resistance; a #4 belt-over-chain for combination fertilizer/lime applications or #3 pintle chain for aggressive lime conveying; and standard hydraulics for combination fertilizer and lime applications or high performance hydraulics for heavy lime applications. Users can add the MultiBin and spread up to four products in one pass, saving time and money, says the company.

BBI Triad SpreaderTriad, BBI

Invented and patented in 2006, the Triad is truly a different path in dry broadcast application, says BBI. The unit draws its name from the fact that it has three hoppers. The Triad offers independent variable rate control of three different products at one time — and it’s designed to keep up with the latest advancements in prescribed, guided, and variable rate application of nutrients. It is available as a pull type and chassis truck mount.

Willmar Super 800Willmar Super 800, Willmar/AGCO Corp.

Made of 409 stainless steel, the Willmar Super 800 features a mechanically simple chain and gear conveyor system that is directly driven by the spreader’s ground speed through chains and pulleys. A 540 rpm PTO drive is standard, a dual drive 540/1,000 rpm PTO is optional. Two 40- or 50-feet spinners create a total spread pattern of 80 or 100 feet, respectively, and, using a 100% overlap, they produce a pyramid-type pattern. A single spinner has a 65-foot total spread pattern with a single pass, flat-type pattern. The two-speed conveyor allows the operator to control application rates of 39 to 1,033 pounds of material per acre. The rig’s capacity is 244 cubic feet struck, 264 heaped.

Simonsen Pull SpreaderPull Spreader, Simonsen Industries

This high clearance pull spreader is designed for flexibility and ruggedness, with 40 inches of distributor fan ground clearance and an adjustable axle width from 72 to 120 inches. The unit has a spread width of 50 feet. Features include a 170 cubic foot capacity stainless steel hopper, floor, rails, splash apron, mesh chain, slide assembly, gear box shafts, roller chain, and fan gearbox bracket. Spreader fan drives are available at 540 rpm, 1,000 rpm, or hydraulic.

FLX series spreader, Case810 Flex-Air, Case IH

The Case IH 810 Flex-Air pneumatic applicator can be configured to apply up to three different dry products and one liquid product — and it’s capable of varying the rate of each product independently. Because the metering of product occurs just prior to entry into the airstream, rate changes occur almost instantaneously for the most accurate application. Available in either 60- or 70-foot lengths and with 2 ½- or 3-inch tubes, the mid-ship mounted boom provides a stable spreading platform and is cushioned by a parallel-linkage boom suspension for a long service life. This applicator offers standard features and optional equipment geared toward versatility, application accuracy, and productivity.

GVM Double Duty Fusion Ready Spreader on E325 ProwlerDouble Duty Fusion Ready, GVM

The 11 ton (330 cubic foot) GVM Double Duty Fusion Ready (DDFR) spreader offers a unique control system and the widest, most accurate spreading pattern in the industry, says GVM. Its guaranteed 90-105 ft spread pattern is due to a patented, reverse rotating spinner and the pre-adjusted funnel which forces material to fall directly onto the spinner disc, in the same location each time, to reduce spreader adjustments based on density. The DDFR is capable of spreading fertilizer, gypsum, lime, most litters, and solid waste. It can spread up to three products with additional bins, features a 34-inch belt-overchain conveyor, and is available in 304 or 409 painted stainless steel. The 11-ton DDFR is designed to be carried on the E325 and E370 GVM Prowler.
