With an office in Londrina, Parana State and manufacturing in Olimpia, Sao Paulo State, Target Brasil produces more than 40 fertilizers, seed treatments and other specialty products. The company will continue to manufacture and distribute its full line of specialty agriculture inputs. Later this year, the company will begin to manufacture BRANDT’s line of advanced, high-performance foliar micronutrient products — BRANDT Smart Trio and BRANDT Manni-Plex — for distribution throughout Brazil.

“My partners and I are excited to join the BRANDT family,” said Wladimir Chaga, President & Managing Director, Target Brasil. “This transaction will provide the opportunities we need to grow the business and develop the technology to differentiate us in the market. We cannot wait to get going as BRANDT.”

The three managing partners and all 21 employees will be retained and additional technical sales representatives will be added. The Target Brasil company name will be changed to BRANDT do Brasil; the company will work closely with BRANDT’s Specialty Formulations group under the direction of EVP Bill Engel.

“Whether you are acquiring a company in your backyard or halfway around the world, it always comes down to culture,” noted Brandt. “Target has a culture that’s very much like ours. They work hard and they have a strong team spirit. They never forget that they are there to serve the customer first. This is going to be good.”
