Yara Mourns Passing Of Peter Valesares

Yara North America president Peter Scott Valesares, age 45, of Tampa, FL formerly of Chicago and Palos Heights, IL passed suddenly on Friday, April 1, 2011 while conducting business in Istanbul, Turkey.

Peter was a devoted husband to Janet (nee Boettcher), proud and loving father of his 15-year-old twin sons, Peter and Christian, cherished son of Karen and Pete Valesares, dear brother of Terri Valesares, dearest grandson of the late Keratso and Sam Valesares, and of the late Helen and Dan Rubinas of Brooksville, FL, special son-in-law to Dorothy and Fred Boettcher of OakBrook, IL, brother-in-law to Cathy Dozier, Elaine Boettcher, and Dina Schreader of the Chicago area, fond uncle, nephew and cousin.

He attended Valparaiso University and received his graduate degree from Saint Xavier College.

Peter was an avid athlete who supported student athletics as a coach and mentor in his community.

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Peter Valesares, officiated by Reverend Dan Brammeier, will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 501 South Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa on Tuesday, April 12, at 11:00AM. Internment Private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions be made to the Peter Valesares Scholarship Fund, which has been established in his memory to assist student athletes at the Tampa Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida.
