Registered blends offer exceptional convenience and optimized control
by Michael Burbach, Nufarm Customer & Brand Marketing Manager
Registered blends, or premixes, are in-can formulations of multiple AIs that are agronomically engineered to deliver the right rate of the given AIs, with improved formulation stability, and simplify the treatment process. Growers can choose the best combination of ingredients to meet their needs with formulations intended to offer exceptional convenience, coming pre-colored and ready to use.
For soybeans, the cornerstone of the Spirato® brands is fluidoxonil for control of fusarium and rhizoctonia. In the base fungicide package, Spirato M 185 FS, metalaxyl is added to provide pythium and Phytophthora control.
In Spirato MTm 285 FS, the rate of metalaxyl is doubled for improved disease control and thiophante methyl is added to work with fluidoxonil for increased disease control and systemic protection.
Finally, Spirato IMTm 348 FS is the premium soybean offer, taking the excellent disease control of Spirato MTM 285 FS and combining it with imidacloprid. Imidacloprid is one of the most widely used insecticides on soybeans and provides early season control of most foliar and soil insect pests. Spirato IMTm 348 is pre-colored, with a built-in polymer for improved dustoff and flowability.
The Nufarm cereals portfolio is anchored by Salient™ (difenoconazole) and Sativa® (tebuconazole). This premix portfolio brings up to four actives together in a colored, RTU formulation.
Sativa IM RTU contains tebuconazole, metalaxyl and imidacloprid. Sativa IM RTU is considered a standard cereals premix for disease protection and wireworm suppression in cereals.
Next is Sativa M2F RTU, a premium fungicide only package for optimized disease protection. Containing tebuconazole, a double rate of metalaxyl, and fludioxonil, Sativa M2F RTU delivers two chemistries for control of rhizoctonia and fusarium and is an excellent choice for early season control and suppression of diseases and seed decay.
Salient TMI deploys three fungicide actives to suppress and control seed- and soil-borne diseases, and controls early season seedling injury due to light to moderate wireworm pressure with imidacloprid.
Finally, Sativa IMF Sembolite MAX takes the excellent disease control of Sativa M2F RTU and adds 1 fl oz/cwt of imidacloprid for aphid control and enhanced wireworm and grub control. Sativa IMF Sembolite MAX is a product positioned to maximize wheat yields in high yielding environments. Sembolite allows the seedling to have a higher rate of uptake of available nutrients.
In closing, Nufarm’s registered blend solutions offer agronomically engineered in-can premixes that deliver the desired level of control you need based on your local field conditions and pest pressure.
