The Corteva Agriscience™ TruChoice® Offer remains a valuable tool for retailers looking to help growers secure crop protection savings while strengthening early-season planning. For the 2026-2027 program year, it continues to deliver the same core value proposition, giving growers up to 10 percent upfront savings on qualifying Corteva crop protection products through a prepaid account. The biggest update is a change in how those accounts can be funded.

“Growers can buy more with the same amount of money,” explains John Kalthoff, channel marketing leader, grower and retail crop protection at Corteva Agriscience. “If they fund their account with $10,000, Corteva divides that by 0.9, giving them $11,111.11 in purchasing power. That additional buying power represents their savings on Corteva crop protection products.”

A Simple Way to Capture Upfront Savings

The TruChoice Offer opens October 1, 2026, for retail registration and prepay collection. Qualified growers who fund a prepay account with a minimum of $5,000 by March 15, 2027, receive 10 percent upfront savings to use on eligible products. Retail transactions begin November 16, 2026, and prepaid funds must be used by September 30, 2027. Terms and conditions apply.

According to Kalthoff, the program gives growers flexibility in how they enroll and fund an account.

“They can fund it through their local retailer, online at Corteva.us, or through a Pioneer® agency,” he says. “Once they have funded their account, they can use those funds throughout the year for Corteva crop protection purchases.”

For retailers, the program creates an opportunity to engage customers earlier in the purchasing cycle and help them lock in savings before the season begins.

Broad Product Eligibility Supports Crop Protection Planning

Because nearly all Corteva crop protection products are eligible, TruChoice can fit into a wide range of plans. The offer is designed to give growers flexibility across a broad portfolio while simplifying the purchasing process.

Corteva also notes that participants can choose from more than 100 crop protection products through the program, including corn herbicides, soybean herbicides, trait technology herbicides, nitrogen stabilizers, fungicides, insecticides, and more.

One Important Change to Note

One change for the 2026-2027 season may prompt conversations with returning participants. Growers can no longer fund a TruChoice prepay account with a deferred-payment loan through PHI Financial Services, an option available in previous years. The change follows the separation of Corteva and Vylor, according to Kalthoff. “It mainly applies to growers who have participated in TruChoice financing before,” he notes.

For retailers, proactive communication around this change can help avoid confusion during enrollment and funding discussions.

Participation Requirements for Retailers

Retail participation requirements remain straightforward. To participate, they must be authorized Corteva retailers enrolled in TruChoice Online. Retailers also must meet standard reporting requirements, including EDI, ending inventory and grower point-of-sale.

Growers enroll through an authorized participating retailer by signing a Grower Prepay Agreement, either electronically or through a paper process, then funding the account with at least $5,000.

Retailers should also be aware that the program is not available in all geographies. TruChoice is excluded in states in the southeastern United States, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Helping Growers Act Early

With minimal changes for the upcoming season, TruChoice continues to offer retailers a straightforward way to help growers manage crop protection purchases and capture meaningful savings. As enrollment opens this fall, retailers who understand the updated funding rules, key deadlines and participation requirements will be well positioned to guide customers through the process.
