WHAT THEY NEEDED
From the very beginning of the design phase, it was clear Agtegra sought to construct a facility that would provide efficient and optimal throughput for years to come. Their Bath, SD, dry fertilizer  expansion became a great example of making the old new by improving design and functionality — incorporating a dual-tower high intensity mixer blender by Sacket-Waconia and a modern reclaim system outfitted with wall-to-wall Wi-Fi, a legal -for-trade scale system, and direct scale integrations supported by Kahler Automation.

WHAT WE DESIGNED
Agtegra’s plant is powered by Terminal Management TMX — the industry’s most powerful software control platform — and integrates seamlessly with AgSync and Agvance for efficient data conversion. Bin sensor upgrades in weigh hoppers above the HIMs have significantly increased their capabilities and output in the two blending lanes. Meanwhile, tablets in the shed’s payloaders give those operators total control of filling overhead hoppers, improving efficiency and reducing load times.

To make it a true powerhouse facility, Agtegra requested LOADPASS, the industry’s most modern and easy-to-use load staging logistics platform. The addition of LOADPASS for intercompany transfers means they won’t need to staff the weigh shack for 12 hours per day. And by employing the latest technology, Agtegra will not only be accurately dispensing product but substantially decreasing load times and improving trucker-to-staff communications and safety while enhancing the driver experience when receiving product.
