HUTCHINSON CO-OP >HUTCHINSON, MN

WHAT HAPPENED
On June 12, 2025, a strong storm cell near Hutchinson, MN, generated 80-plus MPH straight-lined winds that destroyed the warehouse where Hutchinson Co-Op stored seed and chemical. The winds sheered off the roof, collapsed the walls onto the inventory, and scattered debris across the property and the highway in front of the facility, leaving only the offices intact.

After clean up the next day, Hutchinson Co-Op got in contact with FarmChem and developed a plan to rebuild the facility.

WHAT WE DESIGNED
FarmChem designed the chemical and crop protection area within the new building using its full-scale 3D rendering design process. The draft process was focused on not only helping Hutchinson Co-Op visualize the new facility before it was built, but also to give detailed direction to contractors as construction progressed. With 10 stainless steel tanks (60,000-gallon capacity), 10 bulk pumps, 10 hose reels, two scales, and state-of-the-art automation, the site meets and exceeds the goals Hutchinson Co-Op set out for when rebuilding the facility.
