Seeing Double

In the world of fertilizer tenders, Adams Fertilizer Equipment has added a new word to the mix: Ambidexterous. The newest product in the company line-up is the Double Shot Side Auger Trailer Tender, which can discharge product from either the right or left side.
“That’s something that many of our customers have requested for some time,” says Michael Tibbett, sales manager for the company. “Now Adams has answered this call, introducing the industry’s first and only dual direction discharge auger.”
In addition, Adams offers a bottom auger extension kit to give customers a four-way unloading option: right hand, left hand, rear upload, or hopper bottom dump. The dual discharge requires no extra parts, components, or attachments, adds Tibbett.
Another benefit of the Double Shot is its efficiency factor, says Tibbett. “If you are going to load off of a road or out of a field, the Double Shot makes that easier because you don’t have to turn the unit around to do so,” he says.
Working Remotely
As a standard feature of the Double Shot tender, Adams offers a control level to operate the unit. However, for those customers wanting a bit more flexibility with their crews, there is a 12-volt wireless remote control option available. “Using the remote control, a loader driver can operate the Double Shot all by himself without another person standing there waiting for him,” says Tibbett.
