Smaller sprayers are still making a name for themselves in the industry. View some of the more popular models.
APACHE AS710, Equipment Technologies
The Apache AS710 has a tank capacity of 750 gallons and boom sizes ranging from 60 to 100 feet. The unit is powered by a 155-hp John Deere engine and utilizes an ITL/JCB powershift transmission.
4730, John Deere
The 4730 sprayer is powered by a 245-hp turbo-charged PowerTech Plus 6.8-liter Tier II diesel engine. The unit also is equipped with John Deere’s GreenStar Ready CommandView cab and the SprayStar vehicle and rate control system. A GreenStar AutoTrac assisted steering system is also avaiable.
Condor, Miller-St. Nazianz
The Miller Condor A75 is powered by a Cummins QSB 6.7-liter engine and has a 6-speed automatic transmission with travel speeds up to 45.8 mph. The unit features heavy cast iron drop boxes with 48 inches of crop clearance. Its C-channel frame is constructed from high-strength 3 X 9-inch steel beams.
SPX3185 PATRIOT, CASE IH
The SPX3185 Patriot features a trailing-link suspension and a 185-hp engine. The unit can be equipped with the optional AIM Command spray system for optimal chemical coverage and reduced drift potential, according to the company.
DTS8, Hagie Manufacturing
The Hagie DTS8 comes with an active air-ride suspension system, which provides for a smooth ride at field speeds up to 14 mph, says the company. It features 73 inches of crop clearance.
DTS10, Hagie Manufacturing
The Hagie DTS10 is equipped with a 205-hp Cummins engine and features 73 inches of crop clearance. Power is put to the ground using the company’s X-Drive hydrostatic system and the unit rides on an air-ride suspension.
4455/4655, AGCO Corp./Spra-Coupe
The Spra-Coupe 4455 and 4655 sprayers are equipped with Perkins diesel engines, 400-gallon poly tanks, and Allison automatic transmissions. The units also feature a tight turning radius of 13 feet, 9 inches and field speeds up to 18 mph.
