Eldon Stutsman Forms Dealership Agreement With Meristem Crop Performance

Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc., a CropLife 100 ag retailer headquartered in Hills, IA, and Meristem Crop Performance Group, LLC based in Columbus, OH, have announced a new dealership agreement to serve farmers in Iowa.

Under the new relationship, Stutsman will carry the Meristem Crop Performance product line and become Meristem’s ally in helping Iowa farmers make the most of every dollar they spend on crop inputs.

“The Stutsman family and their team are really well-known in Iowa for helping every customer they serve make the most of every seed they plant and win consistently, season after season,” said Mitch Eviston, Meristem Founder and CEO, in announcing the agreement. “We’re excited to be able to come alongside to help them serve those farmers and gain from their field experience as we add new products.”

“What my grandfather started back in 1934 as just one man and a truck is now a diversified, fourth-generation family business that serves Iowa, the Midwest and the U.S.,” says Mark Stutsman, COO of Eldon Stutsman, Inc. “Innovation and adaptation are core values for us – it’s our intent to always be bringing a new advantage to our farmer-customers that will help them win on every acre.” Making the most of every crop season, Stutsman explains, is the key reason Meristem is a good fit for his operation.

“Our goal is really simple,” he says. “It’s to provide the best expertise, products, tools, and services to help family farms grow, prosper, and succeed. By teaming with Meristem, we will be able to further customize what we bring to every Stutsman customer and help them earn more from every crop they plant.” Stutsman says he sees the Meristem team as clearly focused on bringing innovative technology to market to help farmers. “That’s what our team is about, too: Helping growers raise more bushels at less cost for each unit of that yield.”

Stutsman will now add the Meristem product portfolio including HOPPER THROTTLE planter box treatments, REVLINE biologicals and plant growth regulators, TRUTRACK drift control, AQUADRAFT water conditioners and surfactants, UPSHIFT starter fertilizers and HOMESTRETCH micronutrients and foliar nutritionals. Of special interest is EXCAVATOR, powered by MICROBILIZE, a new biological designed to break down tough crop residue and release nutrients faster.

“Meristem is bringing this innovative biological technology to more acres, and we want our farmers to benefit from it,” says Tyler Stutsman, Mark’s son and in the fourth-generation to be involved in the operation. He adds that he sees REVLINE HOPPER THROTTLE and the patented Bio-Capsule Technology to be of special interest to many Stutsman customers.

“Being able to keep the biology separate and vigorous all the way to the furrow makes sense to us,” he says, adding that he’s looking forward to seeing the product work for more of the farmers who depend on Stutsmans for ideas that will help them earn more.

“Bringing innovation to our growers is the only reason we are still around and still growing ourselves,” he says. “Meristem’s focus on locally-owned independent farm business fits perfectly with our own family approach to serving agriculture.”
