CPDA Announces Leadership Transition as Andrew Walmsley Joins Atticus
The Council of Producers & Distributors of Agrotechnology (CPDA) today announced that Andrew Walmsley, Vice President of Government Relations, will depart the association at the end of August to join CPDA member company Atticus as Senior Vice President, Government & Industry Affairs.
During his tenure at CPDA, Walmsley helped significantly expand the association’s government affairs presence and advocacy on behalf of the crop protection industry. His work included strengthening CPDA’s engagement with Congress and federal agencies, advancing efforts to improve EPA’s pesticide registration processes, promoting practical Endangered Species Act solutions, and elevating CPDA’s voice on trade, regulatory, and agricultural policy.
“Andrew has made a tremendous contribution to CPDA and our members,” said Terry Kippley, CPDA President & CEO. “He helped elevate our presence in Washington, strengthened relationships across government and agriculture, and brought greater focus to the policy issues that affect our members every day. CPDA is a stronger and more influential organization because of the work our team and members have done together over the past two years. We are proud of Andrew, support him as he takes this next step, and look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role at Atticus.”
Walmsley joined CPDA following nearly 18 years with the Florida Farm Bureau Federation and American Farm Bureau Federation and brings more than 20 years of agricultural policy and government affairs experience.
