Jason M. Cope

Jason M. Cope serves as PowerPollen’s Chief Intellectual Property Officer, since co-founding the company in 2015. PowerPollen, an Iowa-based ag tech company, offers a breakthrough, scalable technology to collect, preserve and apply pollen on-demand to help improve the productivity, profitability and sustainability of modern farming practices. Prior to PowerPollen, Jason built more than 20-years of industry experience in the development of theoretical and applied engineering solutions at leading global agribusinesses, Corteva Agriscience and Monsanto. In these roles, Jason leveraged his broad and deep knowledge of science, practical engineering, process management, automation hardware and software vendors and commercial products, and his own hands-on experience and creativity to deliver next generation agricultural biotech products. After leaving Corteva, Jason co-founded the first and only scalable pollination technology for commodity crops. In addition to leading the company’s intellectual property strategy, he is responsible for managing the engineering and operations teams for this fast-growing ag tech company. Jason holds more than 40 granted U.S. and worldwide patents for the development of numerous technologies improving the agricultural industry, as well as more than 30 additional pending patents.
