The 2026 Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) featured a pair of awards recognizing excellence both in the field and on the show floor. Presented by the show’s organizers, the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA), the awards highlighted the contributions of an outstanding custom applicator as well as an exhibitor that brought exceptional energy and creativity to the event.

The first award, the Custom Applicator of the Year, recognizes an individual who demonstrates excellence in custom application and a commitment to serving growers and the agricultural industry.

The 2026 award went to Brian Wilson of BCS, LLC, Arrowsmith, IL. Wilson was selected from a strong group of nominees that also included Kevin Barth of CHS, Newark, IL; Tony Glenn of Sun Ag, McNabb, IL; and Dalissa Moser of Helena Agri-Enterprises, Steward, IL.

The award provides an opportunity to recognize the people working behind the scenes to help growers get the most from their crop inputs. Custom applicators play an important role in modern agriculture, combining equipment, agronomic knowledge, timing and attention to detail to get applications made effectively and efficiently.

Another honor presented at MAGIE was the MAGIE Image Award, which recognizes an exhibitor that demonstrates “exceptional spirit” through its booth display. The award celebrates the companies that go beyond simply setting up a booth, creating an engaging presence that helps make the trade show experience more memorable for attendees.

For 2026, New Leader took home the MAGIE Image Award. The recognition capped off a show that brought together agricultural retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and other industry professionals from across the Midwest.

Together, the two awards offered a look at different aspects of what makes MAGIE a valuable industry event — from recognizing the people delivering services directly to growers to celebrating the companies that help bring energy and innovation to the show floor.
