WHAT THEY NEEDED
As customer demand grew, Nebraskaland Aviation recognized the need to move beyond its existing limited dry fertilizer setup and invest in a modern, high-capacity facility capable of supporting both dry and advanced liquid fertilizer operations. The goal was to increase capacity while improving efficiency, reliability, and service for growers across the region.

The new facility needed direct rail access for efficient, high-volume product receiving and improved supply chain reliability. Nebraskaland Aviation also wanted the flexibility to offer more customized solutions, including customer-specific blends, micronutrients, stabilizers and specialized liquid products tailored to local grower needs.

In addition to expanding capabilities, the operation aimed to improve speed, consistency, and convenience for customers while enhancing safety, accuracy, and overall performance through modern automation and facility design. Ultimately, Nebraskaland Aviation sought to build a future-ready independent ag retail operation positioned to serve farmers across central and western Nebraska and central Kansas for years to come.

WHAT WE DESIGNED
Kahler Automation designed a fully automated FLEXCOMMAND^® facility in partnership with Stueve Construction and Doyle, featuring their Dual Rotary Autobatch™ blender system. The facility is engi­neered to operate both blenders simultaneously while running up to four impregnation products at the same time, providing exceptional throughput and versatility.

FLEXCOMMAND’s intuitive interface streamlines operations through mobile access across the facility while enabling seamless connectivity throughout the entire ecosystem. By reducing manual labor and increasing efficiency, the system delivers a sleek, simplified footprint with full ethernet connectivity — a significant advancement from legacy Kahler systems.

Focused on efficiency, reliability and ease of use, the solution combines advanced automation with simplified controls to maximize plant performance and production capacity while remaining operator friendly.
