The successful completion of the new Calhoun Superstructure facility in Carlinville, IL, highlights what can be achieved through strong collaboration, clear communication, and teamwork among all project partners.

Calhoun provided the structural steel trusses and fabric roof system for the 32,000-square-foot facility. Throughout the planning, development, and construction phases, Dwayne Krager, Operations Manager for M&M Service Co., and Alan Ball, Engineer for Calhoun, worked closely with me and Gary Downey with Yargus Construction to ensure the project’s success.
From the initial planning stages, the team collaborated closely to define the project scope and transform what was once a bean field into a fully operational facility. Through regular daily and weekly coordination, proactive problem-solving, and a shared commitment to achieving project goals, the team completed the facility with minimal challenges along the way.
