Long-Time Precision Technology Leader to Deliver Keynote at AgGateway Mid-Year Meeting
AgGateway is pleased to announce that Matt Waits, long-time CEO of SST Software and current industry consultant, will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday morning, June 10 at the organization’s 2025 Mid-Year Meeting.
Waits will share his perspective on the topic, “Beyond Standards: Building the Integration Ecosystem Agriculture Actually Needs.”
“Despite years of progress in ag data standards, true integration remains elusive,” says Waits, who spent more than 20 years in key roles at SST Software, including serving as CEO. “I’m going to explore what’s holding the industry back, and what it might take to build a practical, scalable integration ecosystem that actually delivers on the promise of interoperability.”
Waits is currently the Strategy Lead and co-founder of TwelveFive, a data consulting firm helping agribusinesses solve complex data challenges. In his two-plus decades at the forefront of agricultural technology, most notably as CEO of SST Software, he led the development of one of the industry’s first large-scale precision agronomy platforms.
Following SST’s acquisition by RELX Group, Waits continued as a key executive within Proagrica, working globally on data standardization, interoperability, and analytics strategies across agriculture.
His work has focused on building systems that improve the way agricultural data is collected, aligned, and leveraged — helping organizations make smarter, faster decisions. Matt is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, a licensed pilot, and a proud husband and father of three.
About the Mid-Year Meeting
In 2025, AgGateway is celebrating 20 years of active engagement with leading agriculture companies in the pursuit of seamless digital connectivity and interoperability across the value chain. We welcome all industry stakeholders to join us for three days of learning and networking.
The North America Mid-Year Meeting is where member volunteers gather to discuss the work of AgGateway connectivity initiatives and working groups through the first half of the year — and set plans for remainder of the year leading up to our Annual Meeting and Conference in November.
In addition to task-focused working sessions, segment-based committees share ideas for new projects to initiate. Business presentations and keynote speakers provide additional context for the work of the organization, and fuel high-value networking opportunities throughout the event.
Conference registration is $375. To register, you must have a MyAgGateway account. If you don’t have one, setting up an account is quick and easy, and starts here. For full conference information and registration including the completed agenda, visit and bookmark the Mid-Year Meeting web page.
A hotel room block at Prairie Meadows is available at the conference rate of $174/night — the hotel web portal can be found here. You will need the event code and password to register:
