U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno Addresses Key Issues During Exclusive Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association Members-Only Meeting

U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno joined the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association (OCWGA) for an exclusive members-only meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Moreno discussed several key issues, including extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts and passing a new five-year farm bill.

“I would like to thank Senator Moreno for taking the time to speak candidly with the members and sponsors of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association,” said Tadd Nicholson, Executive Director of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. “Many important events are happening in Washington, D.C. right now, and it was essential to have a leader like Senator Moreno share insights on what is occurring and what the future holds for growers here in Ohio.”

“I was pleased to speak with members of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association,” said Moreno. “It is a great honor to represent Ohio in the Senate, and I greatly value the opportunity to give Ohioans updates about the work we are doing in Washington to support our agriculture community.”

The meeting with Senator Moreno was the first in a series of sessions scheduled for 2025. These exclusive gatherings aim to connect leading voices directly with OCWGA members and address significant questions regarding issues affecting the agriculture industry.

OCWGA is a grower-member-led organization consisting of nearly two thousand members. The association’s primary goal is to advocate for, promote, and enhance opportunities for Ohio grain farmers. Events like this highlight one of the many benefits of being affiliated with the organization.
