Jim Schultz

Jim Schultz is the Founder and Managing Partner of Open Prairie, a fifth-generation agriculture investor with over 30 years of investment experience. He has been instrumental in providing capital across diverse industries including agriculture, life sciences, and technology. In 2015, he was appointed Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Schultz previously served as Chairman of PrimeBanc, growing its assets from $40 million to $600 million. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University, a JD from DePaul University, and serves on multiple company boards.
