In 2023, The Andersons wanted to increase receiving capacity along with adding more storage. We looked at going from 200TPH to a 500TPH system with rail and truck receiving into their existing 14-bin building, along with the addition of a 150 foot dome for potash.

With receiving done, we moved on to the blending and load out, as they needed to speed up the load out to reduce the number of trucks waiting at the start of the day.
In 2025, we removed the original 10-bin volumetric blender from 1998. Their blend system supplied to their bagging plant and customer trucks with bulk trucks being loaded over the sides. Working with The Andersons team, we came to an agreement to install six 12’x12’ Ranco bins with a pantleg design to hold more product and discharge with two chain meter units. Two of the large bins have in-bin product conditioners. We also provided three micro nutrient bins and two impregnations to take care of the bagging and customers’ needs.
The blender, auger and leg operate at 250TPH to feed a bagging hopper, truck weigh hopper and a direct load out spout.
This system has Ranco electronics working with Kahler Automation to get the ticket information and share back to their office for billing.
