CropLife’s Year in Review: The 10 Biggest Stories of 2023

Every year in the U.S. ag retail industry (and agriculture as a whole), there are usually one or two stories that tend to dominate headlines throughout the calendar. Last year, it was the return of in-person events. In 2021, carbon credits and glyphosate’s future were top of mind for many of us. In 2020, it was dicamba that dotted the news landscape.

In 2023, the prevailing theme that commanded our attention was the CropLife 100. Of the top 10 most read stories on our website this past year, three of them were related to the CropLife 100. Whether it was Southern States Cooperative turning 100 or our in-depth profile on the The Big Seven of the CropLife 100, the high-level interest surrounding the industry’s leading retailers was felt throughout the year.
