Ceres Solutions’ Matt Clark Selected for AgriInstitute’s Leadership Class 20

Matt Clark, Digital Technology Manager for Ceres Solutions Cooperative, has been selected to join the Agricultural Leadership Program’s Class 20. AgrIInstitute is committed to leadership development and facilitating communication among diverse interests on agricultural, food and natural resources issues. Over the next two years, AgriInstitute’s ALP class 20 members will study a wide range of leadership subjects and gain a broad understanding of the diversity of the agricultural industry in Indiana. The experience will provide class members with enhanced skills and expertise to serve in leadership roles at local, state, and national levels on behalf of the agricultural industry.

“During the program, our class will attend industry seminars held throughout Indiana, spend a week in Washington, D.C., meeting with national leaders, and then spend 10-14 days studying internationally,” explains Clark, a native of the Montgomery County area. Through study and exposure to critical public issues, participants are challenged to meet the evolving political, economic, social and cultural needs of our society.

“I am very pleased to be a part of this group. It’s a growth opportunity that was interesting to me because I believe the lessons and relationships I gain through ALP will ultimately benefit Ceres Solutions and our customers,” he added.

Clark and more than two dozen other program participants began the first session of the program last week. It was an orientation for class members including discussions of leadership, leadership qualities and applications, goal setting and understanding personality styles. Since it began in 1984, 500 participants have graduated from the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program, and are actively strengthening and transforming their local communities and the agricultural community as a whole.
