Summer shows bring new equipment; before you test drive the big rigs at the Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) and other summer events, CropLife® previews what manufacturers have to offer this year.
Lime/fertilizer spreader, Adams Fertilizer Equipment
Using a 16-inch 304 stainless steel mesh conveyor chain and adjustable material distribution chute, Adams’ four-wheel lime/fertilizer spreader creates 50-foot fertilizer and 30-foot lime spread patterns. The 90-inch by 120-inch hopper — sloped downward at both ends and sides to allow material to slide down the well — is precision-built for durability and spread accuracy. The full line of ground drive and adjustable width spreaders also will be on display at MAGIE.
Wheel track spreaders, Ag Systems
Simple to maintain and operate for years of reliable service, Ag Systems’ full line of adjustable wheel track spreaders fits a wide variety of row widths. The 304 stainless steel-constructed box is bolted to a heavy-duty tubular chassis for strength and improved durability, with spreaders available in 5-, 6-, and 8-ton sizes, along with a single-axle 5-ton model.
Willmar Super 800, AGCO Corp.
The Willmar Super 800 provides more uniform load dispersion throughout the field through equalizer technology and leaf springs between the front and rear axle, resulting in more consistent application. Increasing product longevity is proffered by the wider backsplash, which minimizes fertilizer on undercarriage. Highway-rated tire options offer greater transport speeds.
TerraGator, Ag-Chem
All systems on the TerraGator feature at least 270 cubic feet of capacity, with well over 300 cubic feet on the 9203 Four Bin Soilection system. Other air application options for both the 9000 and 8000 series TerraGators include the AirMax 1000 and 2000, AirSpreader, and Twin Bin systems. All TerraGators also feature spinner spreader options, including the New Leader L3020G4 or L3220 MultApplier — depending on the chosen chassis — with the 6203 TerraGator only offering spinners.
Titan Series chassis, Case IH
The Case IH Titan Series chassis, available in three- and four-wheel configurations with either 305 or 365 hp, can be equipped with an 11-, 12-, 13-, or 14-foot hopper length New Leader spinner box. The MultApplier insert allows simultaneous application of two products at predetermined rates.
Mobility 6-Ton Row Crop Dry Fertilizer Spreader, Dalton Ag Products
The Mobility 6-Ton Row Crop Dry Fertilizer Spreader is built rugged for today’s high-speed agricultural world and provides more acres per fill. Compaction and side hill drift are reduced by an adjustable axle and 42-inch lug-type tractor tires, which allow ground clearance of 40 inches under spinners and 47 inches under the frame, running over the top of standing crops and fitting most row widths.
L3030G4 300-cubic-foot New Leader, John Deere
The L3030G4 300-cubic-foot New Leader spin spreader on the John Deere 4930 — controlled with the new John Deere SpreadStar controller — is capable of spreading 25% to 50% wider than most other leading units. The patented adjustable spinner assembly with up to 105-foot spread widths allows quick, accurate settings for variable-rate applications, broadcasting materials farther and wider with consistent spread patterns.
Clipper 200, Dempster Industries
The Clipper 200 (6 -Ton) features an adjustable wheel spacing option for 20-, 30-, or 36-inch row crop application. This unit is available with four drive options — 540 PTO, 540/1000 PTO, hydraulic, and Honda gas engine drive. Also available are the model 70 (2-Ton), Clipper 175 (5-Ton) and the Clipper 250 (8-Ton).
Duo-Force, FORCE Unltd.
Applicators will be able to see first-hand the versatility of the Agforce spreader by FORCE Unltd. The Duo-Force, Tri-Force, and Quad-Force can be added to the Agforce at any time, allowing one to four products to be accurately spread at the same time. These products complement the rest of FORCE Unltd.’s “Force Field” — including the Agforce Ltd., designed to mount on an AgChem 1274C or John Deere 4920/4930 sprayer chassis, the Pro-Force Trailer floater or row crop unit, and the Pro-Force multi-purpose spreader. The perfect companion to the “Force Field” is the patented HPC30A Belt Conveyor. Its offspring are the Undercar Hooded Conveyor and the Chicken Litter Conveyor. Rounding out the product line are the L9513 and L8513 Floater Chassis.
Fusion, GVM
Guaranteed, accurate spread patterns of 90 to 105 feet — the widest in the industry by 10% to 15% vs. competitors — are promised by the multi-bin Fusion’s uniquely designed reverse spinners. The chassis-mounted Double Duty features a “funnel-like” tray design, giving fertilizers a pin-point placement which provides more accuracy in hilly conditions. A specially designed 34-inch belt over chain ensures a constant feed to the spinner discs for lime, granular fertilizer, and manure with virtually no bridging.
