Flex-Air pneumatic applicator, Case IH

Flex-Air pneumatic applicator, Case IH

According to the manufacturer, the Case IH 810 Flex-Air pneumatic applicator provides performance, productivity and versatility with the ability to apply up to three dry products and one liquid all at the same time — and all at variable rates. Multiple product bins and the liquid tank are externally mounted from the main hopper, so capacity isn’t affected when selecting those configurations. The company adds that the twin fans provide the air supply for accurate application through the mid-ship mounted booms, in either 60- or 70-foot lengths. Product is metered directly above the air stream. This allows the drivers to rapidly change rates on the go.

40 PTT-FT EXW spreader, Chandler Equipment

40 PTT-FT EXW spreader, Chandler Equipment

The new 40 PTT-FT EXW spreader features Chandler’s new Walking Beam Tandem Axle, flotation tires and wider spread patterns (80 feet for fertilizer, 60 feet for lime). It has a capacity of 12 tons fertilizer and 16 tons lime, with application rates from 50 pounds per acre to over 800 pounds per acre of fertilizer — and from 500 pounds to over 4 tons per acre of lime — at ground speeds up to 14 mph. This rig is designed for the applicator who is not yet ready to step up to a big self-propelled flotation machine but already has 200 to 300 hp tractors available and needs something larger than average pull-type spreaders.

New Leader L3220G4 and L3030G4 dry spinner spreader attachments, John Deere

New Leader L3220G4 and L3030G4 dry spinner spreader attachments, John Deere

Now available for the John Deere 4930 Sprayer are the New Leader L3220G4 and L3030G4 dry spinner spreader attachments. With up to 105-foot spread widths, the spreaders are capable of spreading 25% to 50% wider than most others on the market, according to the manufacturer, covering more acres per day and increasing productivity. The company also says that its pressure- and flow-compensated hydraulics allow operators to maintain spinner speed throughout each pass, as well as maintain spread widths even when rpms are reduced. For multi-season use, the operator can convert from liquid to dry application in just a few hours.

Agforce spinner spreader, Force Unltd.

Agforce spinner spreader, Force Unltd.

The Agforce spinner spreader applies fertilizer, urea and lime, while the PRO-FORCE is capable of spreading high rates of these three products — plus litter and other hard-to-manage materials. According to the company, all models can be either chassis or trailer mounted and set up with 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-product capability. The spinner assembly produces a spread pattern and width that is unsurpassed, says the company. Trailer units are available with row crop or flotation tires. FORCE Unltd. notes its units boast the largest conveyor drive gearbox in the industry, in-cab electronic control of spinner speed with feedback, control valves that are removed from the “corrosive” rear end, stainless steel hydraulic lines and a valve assembly that is the most modern and reliable available.

E350 Prowler, GVM

E350 Prowler, GVM

The 11-ton GVM E350 Prowler spreads granular fertilizer a guaranteed 90 feet to 105 feet, at a less than 15% coefficient of variation, says the company. The company’s patented, reverse-rotating spinner runs in the opposite direction of other spinners and allows the Prowler to throw fertilizer, gypsum, lime or litter farther than any similar units. The pre-adjusted funnel forces material to fall directly onto the spinner disc. Automated drag and spinner controls are controlled from inside the cab designed for ease of use and time savings. The Double Duty spreader body allows for multiple product applications, and by bolting in the fusion dual bin insert, operators can be in the field applying multiple products within hours.

Condor G40 and G75, Miller St. Nazianz

Condor G40 and G75, Miller St. Nazianz

The Miller Condor G40 and G75 are now available with a factory installed New Leader G4 dry spinner box. Built of 409 stainless steel, this exclusive box is painted Miller red, is MultApplier ready and has a struck capacity of 255 cubic feet, or 8.29 tons at 65 pounds per cubic foot. Featuring a sight window in the hopper, the box will accommodate a 5-foot insert at 66 cubic foot capacity (leaving the main bin with 105 cubic foot capacity). The Condor SmartDrive is an option on the G75.

MultiBin, New Leader/Highway Equipment

MultiBin, New Leader/Highway Equipment

The MultiBin transforms the L4000G4’s single hopper into three — and the micronutrient hopper can also be split to create a fourth hopper. Front hoppers dispense fertilizer products while the rear hoppers dispense micronutrients or seeding products. Constructed of 304 stainless steel, the MultiBin may be installed and removed from the L4000G4 for single-bin fertilizer or lime spreading. With suggested settings for fertilizer, urea, ag lime and wet lime, the unit’s spinner assembly consistently applies up to 105-foot spread patterns with fertilizer and 60-foot with ag lime, says the company. The manufacturer also says that the New Leader G4 variable-rate broadcaster spreads material faster, wider and more consistently, even in changing weather conditions.

Pacesetter XL unit, Precision & Tank & Equipment

Pacesetter XL unit, Precision & Tank & Equipment

The manufacturuer now carries the New Leader G4 series dry spreaders on its Pacesetter XL unit. (The spreaders can be mounted on a Kenworth or International chassis.) The L4000 series spreader rates range from 75 pounds of fertilizer per acre to over 6 tons of lime per acre, and spread widths can reach up to 90 feet. Hydraulics — PTO-driven from the transmission — supply power to both the conveyor and the dual 24-inch independently driven spinners. The 14-foot models hold 300 cubic feet of material struck and more heaped. The MultApplier attachment can be added so some models.

Willmar Super 800, Willmar/AGCO

Willmar Super 800, Willmar/AGCO

Made of 409 stainless steel, the Willmar Super 800 features a mechanically simple chain and gear conveyor system that is directly driven by the spreader’s ground speed through chains and pulleys. A 540 rpm PTO drive is standard, a dual drive 540/1,000 rpm PTO is optional. Two 40-feet or 50-feet spinners create a total spread pattern of 80 feet or 100 feet respectively, and, using a 100% overlap, produce a pyramid-type pattern. A single spinner has a 65-foot total spread pattern with a single pass, flat-type pattern. The two-speed conveyor allows the operator to control application rates of 39 pounds to 1,033 pounds of material per acre. The rig’s capacity is 244 cubic feet struck, 264 heaped.
