For the 2010 model year, AGCO Application Equipment will be introducing five new models of its RoGator high-clearance, post-emergence applicator to the custom application industry and professional growers. The new models feature larger-capacity tanks, unmatched visibility on the road and in the field, plus easier access to the cab and the convenience of a new front-load liquid system.

The new models will offer more capacity options — 900-, 1100- and 1300-gallon liquid systems — in addition to more horsepower to meet the needs of both retailers and large scale producers.

“RoGator has long been the preferred machine for custom applicators because of its quality, durability, and accuracy in the field,” says Mark Sharitz, director of marketing for the AGCO Application Equipment Division. “With the newly designed front entry and lowered boom mounts which really optimize visibility in the field and on the road, RoGator continues to set the bar in the industry for innovation and efficiency. Professional producers are turning to RoGator for the same reasons.”

The 2010 RoGator’s front entry design is sure to be a favorite new feature, with a fold-down ladder, easy first step, gentle angle of ascent, wide-set hand rails, and a wide walkway maximized at the cab side to allow the widest cab door opening in its class. Two different walkway treads provide secure footing and large tread holes offer exceptional visibility to the left-front wheel.
Front-entry design also makes possible a new and more convenient optional front-fill liquid system featuring larger fresh water and hand-rinse tanks, faster reloading, and reloading access to a nurse truck without folding in sprayer booms.

Lowered boom mounts and a lowered tank saddle as well as off-cab rear-view mirror mountings mean the already unparalleled panoramic view of the 6-post Advanced Application Cab is now even better both in the field and on the road. In addition, the RoGator cab is even quieter than before with a thicker, more sound-proof floor mat.

“With the increased size and re-engineering of the boom-mount system, operators will realize even faster boom-fold cycle time and changes to the plumbing and hose-routing mean the RoGator’s clean underside and simple plumbing ad wiring systems are even more streamlined.

Improvements to our electrical mountings and connections enhance machine life and minimize costly down time. Both custom applicators and professional growers will want to check out the new RoGator,” adds Sharitz. “They’ll also notice small changes such new labeling and a slightly different color scheme across our entire line of application equipment.”
