ASABE Publishes Updated Spray Nozzle Classification Standard

Dealers and growers need to be more careful than ever about drift control and spray efficacy.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has published a revision to its standard for classifying nozzles on agricultural sprayers.

ANSI/ASAE S572.3 FEB2020, Spray Nozzle Classification by Droplet Spectra, aligns the classification aspects of the spray nozzle requirements with ISO 25358:2018 Crop protection equipment — Droplet-size spectra from atomizers — Measurement and classification.

ASABE members with standards access and those with site-license privileges can access the full-text via electronic download on the ASABE online Technical Library. Others can obtain a copy for a fee directly from the library or by contacting ASABE headquarters at [email protected].
