Ag Equipment On Display: Cool Units

Here are some of the more interesting entries seen at the 2009 winter shows.

TERRAGATOR 9203 — AGCO/Ag-Chem

TerraGator 9203 is made with a Caterpillar C-13 12.5-liter engine with a peak of 425 hp. The unit can be equipped with a 2,400-gallon liquid option with Benson Boom II or a New Leader L3020, L3220 Spinner, or AirMax 1000 and 2000 for dry applications.

8275 PREDATOR — GVM

The 8275 Predator is powered by a Tier III Cummins 275-hp engine and an Allison RDS 3500 Series 6-Speed transmission. This gives the unit the ability to travel up to 45 mph on the road, yet still be able to provide enough torque to carry operators over hills and across soft terrain while in the field.

CRUIZER — Raven Industries

Cruizer is built with a 5.7-inch full-color, high-resolution touchscreen display, which features easy-to-understand icons and status indicators. It can be set to day or night modes.

AG-600 — Ag Systems

The AG-600 spreader is made of high-grade 304 stainless steel in its body and roller chains. The unit also features stainless steel gearbox mounts and a 16,000-pound leaf-spring suspension system. The AG-600 has 18 inches of axle clearance.

TITAN RT/NOMAD — Farm Works Software

The Titan RT system includes a stylus pen, USB drive for transferring data, and a 12-volt vehicle charger. The Nomad has a rechargeable Li-Ion battery.

FIELD CHARGER — Ray-Man

One of the largest tenders in the country, this 30-foot-long unit is mounted on a six-axle chassis. In operation, the unit can hold up to 1,000 pounds of product within its five compartments and a 30-ton payload.

CP-65T-S — The CP Products Co.

Turbo Nozzles feature dial orifices that can be quickly changed to alter the product flow options. The nozzles are capable of 0.3 to 1 gallons per minute capacity at 40 psi.

4830 — John Deere

The 4830 sprayer is equipped with a 1,000-gallon product tank and a 100-foot boom. The unit also features the company’s Auto Air Spring Adjustment system.

7000 SERIES — AGCO/Spra-Coupe

The 7000 Series of sprayers have optional wide-track axles that let operators adjust spacing from 120 inches to 152 inches to handle any row or bed.

ROGATOR 1074 — AGCO/Ag-Chem

Designed with a Caterpillar 3126B 7.2-liter engine, the RoGator 1074 sprayer is capable of achieving travel speeds up to 32 mph.

STS MODELS — Hagie Manufacturing

Hagie STS sprayers are designed with LiveAir suspension systems. This allows for the continual adjustment of the ride when in motion.

PATRIOT 4420 — Case IH

The Patriot 4420 is built with the company’s E-Z Fold Boom, which can be operated with a single switch, and a 8.3-liter Tier III engine.

9275 PROWLER — GVM

The 9275 Prowler is designed with a high-volume Hypro 9306C pump, capable of a 214 gallons per minute output.

EDGE — Ag Leader

The Edge display provides an entry-level option for those users just getting into precision agriculture practices. It features boundary maps, a summary screen, and map zoning and planning options. There is also an automatic legend adjustment, which provides on-the-fly displays.
