5 Show-stopping Products At 2012 MAGIE

2012 MAGIE OverviewEach year, the Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) showcases the best application equipment and products agriculture has to offer. And last week’s MAGIE in Bloomington, IL, was no different. There were plenty of first-class products generating buzz among attendees, but only one earned CropLife IRON magazine’s ShowStopper award.

In past years, the ShowStopper Award winner was based upon casual comments and informal interviews of attendees at the show. For the first time this year, the “Team ShowStopper” girls collected votes from visitors to determine the winner. Thanks to this more formal process, not only were we able to recognize this year’s winner, but also give honorable mention to four other deserving products that tallied plenty of votes.

Doyle Equipment Manufacturing Blenders2012 ShowStopper Honorable Mention: Doyle Blenders

Doyle’s exhibit was a big hit at the McLean County Fairgrounds during the 2012 MAGIE. Of particular interest for attendees was the company’s rotary (8-, 10-, and 13-ton) and vertical (6-, 8-, and 10-ton) blenders. Constructed of 12 gauge, 304 stainless steel, the blenders feature a tank that is 100% welded inside and out. All blenders have a heavy-duty drive mounting system, with an industrial grade gearbox, and NEMA C high efficiency motor. Mild steel blenders are available for less corrosive environments. The vertical blender is loaded by dumping materials into the side inlet hopper, which is available in numerous sizes. A 36″ to 18″ tapered auger pulls incoming material into the bottom cone of the tank, it then lifts and folds the materials, achieving an accurate and gentle mix every time.
