2016 Product Of The Year Voting
September 13, 2016 Update: Voting for the Product of the Year has ended.
For the ninth year in a row, CropLife IRON magazine is once again honoring this year’s Product of the Year. Below you will find profiles of the 2016 finalists, picked from reader feedback via e-mails and comments made at the many industry trade shows and equipment-oriented events.
The award will be given out at one of this winter’s trade shows.

MAKO 440 Sprayer
Manufacturer: GVM
Description: The GVM Mako offers a robust and dependable mechanical drivetrain. It features a Cummins 130-hp Tier 3 engine mated to an Allison automatic five-speed transmission, which offers up to 22 mph road speeds. The Mako is small, stable, and nimble, designed with a 400-gallon product tank, a light footprint, 36 to 46 inches of clearance, and a tight turning radius.
ST933 Tender

Description: The ST933 Unibody Stainless Steel Tender is constructed using 304 stainless steel. Designed for a capacity of 933 cubic feet of transport storage, the unit has split tanks with poke hole standards on all hoppers and a stainless steel belt conveyor 30 feet long to provide for extra reach. The use of 304 stainless steel in the ST933 allows for lighter trailer weights and higher payloads.
F4365 High Capacity Nutrient Applicator

Description: The F4365 High Capacity Nutrient Applicator offers increased capacity with a 330-cubic foot New Leader dry spinner spreader that can apply fertilizer at rates up to 1,100 pounds per acre and lime at rates up to 6,600 pounds per acre. The unit is powered by a John Deere PowerTech PSS 9L engine and features an IVT transmission. These machines integrate the latest in technology.
LB1 Low Boy wagon
Manufacturer: Duo Lift Manufacturing Co.
Description: This unit has been designed to accommodate twin 1,000- or 1,450-gallon anhydrous ammonia (NH3) tanks. There is also an option to accommodate a single 2,000 or 3,000 gallon “shorty” NH3 tank. This unit also comes “standard” with an adjustable rear axle from 92- to 120-inch wheel track. Other options available include brakes, lights, steps, and front fenders.
Anniversary PATRIOT 3340/4440
Manufacturer: Case IH
Description: Case IH is celebrating its application equipment leadership with special 25th Anniversary Patriot 3340 and 4440 sprayers. The commemorative models will include all the productivity features that operators expect from Patriot sprayers, including cab-forward, rear-engine design, comfortable cabs and application excellence. The 25th anniversary machines also will feature eye-catching silver-and-red paint finish.
