Landus to Purchase Grain Facility From Central Farm Service in Bricelyn, MN

Landus will continue to expand its footprint beyond Iowa with the planned purchase of the Central Farm Service (CFS) grain facility in Bricelyn, MN. Through a signed letter of intent, Landus will take ownership of the grain asset on August 31, 2023. The Bricelyn facility is located just nine miles away from the Landus Union Pacific shuttle-loader rail facility in Rake, IA. This purchase grants area farmers access to new export markets throughout the United States and Mexico.

“Bringing together the Bricelyn grain storage facility with the Rake rail hub makes strategic sense for the farmers that Landus and CFS serve,” said Matt Carstens, president and CEO, Landus. “Our team looks forward to expanding our work with area farmers, and we’d like to thank the CFS team for their openness to working together and implementing value-added grain opportunities for the farmers we both serve.”
