GROWMARK Announces Board Chairman Transition
GROWMARK, Inc. has announced that its Chairman of the Board and President, Kevin Malchine, will transition from his current role as Chairman and President while continuing to serve the last year of this three-year term on the GROWMARK Board of Directors as a standard board member. The GROWMARK Board will select the next Chairman of the Board and President following the August Annual Meeting.
“Kevin’s leadership has made a lasting impact on GROWMARK and our entire cooperative System,” said Mark Orr, GROWMARK CEO. “His dedication to our member companies and his unwavering commitment to member success have strengthened the foundation of everything we do. We are grateful for his 14 years of service and look forward to his continued contribution as a board member through the remainder of his term.”
Malchine has served as Chairman of the Board and President of GROWMARK, Inc. for four years. During his tenure, he has been a strong advocate for the cooperative system and for the farmers and rural communities GROWMARK serves across North America.
“GROWMARK is in an exceptionally strong position, and I believe this is the right time to begin a thoughtful transition of board leadership,” said Malchine. “After 14 years of service to the GROWMARK Board, I am proud that the organization is thriving, our cooperative is moving forward with strong momentum, and I have great confidence in what lies ahead. Advancing communication efforts between GROWMARK and its member companies, and strengthening resources and support to help members succeed, were the goals I cared most deeply about. I am gratified to have seen those things come to pass.”
Once Malchine’s term concludes, he plans to embrace the next chapter of his personal life. With three additional grandchildren on the way, he looks forward to spending more time with his family. Malchine and his wife, Kelly, operate Malchine Farms, a corn and soybean farm in Wisconsin.
The current GROWMARK Board of Directors consists of active farmers who are fully engaged in guiding GROWMARK and its affiliated companies to reach the vision of becoming the best agricultural cooperative system in North America. Decisions made by the Board of Directors influence and shape GROWMARK’s future to best serve its member cooperatives and fulfill its purpose of helping feed and fuel the world.
