GROWMARK acquired a propane terminal in Plattsburg, MO, the company announced Tuesday. The terminal is connected to the ONEOK pipeline, has 270,000 gallons of storage and the capability to loadout two trucks at once. GROWMARK also owns a refined and renewable fuels terminal in Wathena, KS, near St. Joseph, MO.
“Acquiring this terminal gives us the opportunity to market directly to local retailers in the area, as well as to other national retailers and wholesalers,” said Kevin Carroll, vice president, energy and logistics. “Marketing propane through the Plattsburg terminal also makes us a more complete supplier in the geography given the proximity to the Wathena refined fuel terminal,” he added.
The Plattsburg terminal is located about forty miles north of Kansas City and 40 miles southeast of St. Joseph.
