Former PotashCorp Executive Joins Farmer’s Business Network

Farmers Business Network, the independent farmer-to-farmer network, has hired longtime and respected industry veteran David Delaney as Chief Commercial Officer.

With his strong track record of growing and commercializing businesses, David Delaney will be responsible for scaling FBN’s existing business offerings, and bringing new solutions to FBN Members.

Delaney most recently served as the EVP and Chief Operating Officer at PotashCorp (now Nutrien Ltd.), the world’s largest fertilizer company by capacity, where he was responsible for operations across all of PotashCorp’’s business segments, including potash, nitrogen and phosphate. Before his role as COO, Delaney, who is based in Northern Illinois, was the President of Sales for PotashCorp, where he led the global sales functions.

Delaney has served as a member of numerous boards of directors, including that of Canpotex Limited and Arab Potash Company. He also served as Chairman for industry associations such as the Fluid Fertilization Association, Phosphate Chemicals Export Association, and as Director for the International Plant Nutrition Institute. He currently serves on the Foundation Board for his alma Mater, Southern Illinois University, as well as on the Itafos board.

The latest news comes as FBN network announced FBN Health, a partnership between Farmers Business Network and Lifestyle Health Plans and the first multi-state healthcare network for farmers, their family and their farm employees. FBN Health gives farmers access to more affordable healthcare options, easy navigation and enrollment, and designed, just for them, adding to its ecosystem of building an independent profit system.

FBN now serves more than 30 million acres of farmland across the U.S. and Canada, an area nearly the size of the state of Pennsylvania.
