In late September 2017, an invitation was extended to David Sparks to join the Ceres Solutions Cooperative Board of Directors in a non-voting, advisory leadership role. Sparks has accepted the position and has begun providing expert counsel to the large Crawfordsville, IN-based agribusiness.

Sparks is well known in regional financial circles and the agribusiness sector for his decades of industry experience. Prior to accepting the role of Advisory Director at Ceres Solutions, Sparks served as Eastern Region President for the Agribusiness Banking Group of CoBank.
Sparks began his tenure at CoBank in 1996. CoBank is part of the US Farm Credit System, and provides loans and financial services to cooperatives, agribusinesses, rural public utilities and other farm credit associations. Today, Sparks contributes his talents to a number of agribusiness and industry boards, and also commits time and resources to a variety of Christian-based volunteer organizations in the Louisville area.
Ceres Solutions Cooperative CEO Jeff Troike made the announcement regarding the advisory position, affirming the contributions David Sparks will bring to the newly merged cooperative business. Since the merger (between Ceres Solutions and North Central Co-op) which became effective September 1, 2017, Ceres Solutions Cooperative now serves thousands of farmers and customers across Indiana and Michigan. The 12 farmers who now serve in elected voting positions on the Ceres Solutions Cooperative Board of Directors are pleased to welcome him. “David Sparks is respected for his work and also for his reputation. He brings business insights, financial skills, high integrity and practical experience to the table; we’re glad to welcome him,” said Troike.
