The Fertilizer Institute Adds Staff Member

The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) has named Laura K. Kubitz manager of public affairs. Kubitz will help coordinate the Institute’s member and external communications efforts and will serve on TFI’s policy staff and nutrient stewardship teams.

Kubitz joins TFI having just earned a master of science degree in agricultural education and communication from the University of Florida (UF). She holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism, also from UF. Her master’s research involved identifying important global and domestic agricultural issues according to international agricultural journalists. Some of the issues cited by key media included feeding a growing global population, food security, and issues surrounding water quality and quantity.
