Will USDA Raise Production Estimates?

Informa Economics expects USDA to raise the corn and soybean production estimates in their next report, reports BrownfieldAgNews.

Corn is pegged at 12.219 billion bushels, with an average yield of 154.1 bushels per acre, and soybeans at 3.001 billion bushels, with an average yield of 40.9 bushels per acre. USDA’s September update put corn at 12.072 billion bushels, with an average yield of 152.3 bushels per acre, and soybeans at 2.934 billion bushels, with an average yield of 40.0 bushels per acre.
