Tessenderlo Kerley Buys DuPont’s Linuron Assets

Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) has purchased the linuron herbicide assets from DuPont Crop Protection.

Linuron is a speciality herbicide used primarily in soybeans, cotton, carrots, asparagus, celery, and potatoes currently marketed under the DuPont Lorox and Linex brands, as well as several associated trademarks.

While the group did not disclose financial details of the agreement, TKI will acquire global rights to the linuron business, including trade names, registrations and registration data.

Marketing and development responsibility for the linuron product will be undertaken by TKI’s business unit, NovaSource. NovaSource is charged with marketing and developing registered pesticides for niche crop protection and specialty markets.
