In the survey, respondents were asked to think about their firm and market over the next 2-3 years. In this specific question, respondents rated three different competitor issues as threats to their business, on a scale from 1 (not a threat) to 5 (major threat).
Survey results showed more than 25% of respondents said failing competitors who are in a struggle to survive are a moderate (4) to major (5) threat to their business. In addition, 11% of respondents said Internet sales of crop inputs by retail competitors was no threat (1) to their business.
